Rocket Launchers Planetside 2

Rocket Launchers are now available in Planetside 2. This is just one of the latest updates from Sony Online Entertainment's massively multiplayer online first-person-shooting game. You want Rocket Launchers to blast your enemies away then you got them. Also, the addition of Rocket Launchers in Planetside 2 will definitely add new tactics and strategies to the game.

Planetside 2 - Rocket Launchers Released

What Makes Rocket Launchers Different?

Rocket Launchers in Planetside 2 are different from other weapon types in the game because of the fact that each one is different. For example, in one type of Rocket Launcher, you can control the direction or path of the rocket. After shooting the Rocket Launcher, you'll immediately switch to the rocket's camera view and guide it accordingly to your target.

Sounds cool right? Yes, it's definitely cool but the movement of the rocket is very limited. It won't do 180 degree turns and it has a very short range. It's also a one shot reload weapon with at least 5 seconds of reload time. So, spamming rockets is out of the question. LOL!

Another type of Rocket Launcher has the ability to lock-on its target making all shots or rockets fired hit. This one is somewhat better than the other type of Rocket Launcher because it's more accurate and more destructive. Unfortunately, locking on to your target takes a couple of seconds and that can leave you wide open.

Damage Dealt

Rocket Launchers deal decent damage to vehicles. You can take out a Sunderer with full health easily with Rocket Launchers. Take note, Sunderers are very heavily armored. It takes a barrage of shots to take one Sunderer down. With Rocket Launchers, Sunderers are now somewhat more vulnerable but you'll still have to get close enough to shoot one and that is not an easy task.

Are Rocket Launchers OP?

Rocket Launchers are indeed powerful but they also have their drawbacks. For example, Guided Rockets are countered by simply shooting them down while Locked Rockets are countered with Flares and other forms of countermeasures.

Rocket Launchers also have limited range which means, long distances can make them pretty useless. Your Rocket Launchers usefulness relies on how close you can get to your target and, in Planetside 2, getting close enough to fire-off a few shots is very, very difficult. You can end up dead from trying.

Start Blasting Away

Rocket Launchers are really awesome. If used properly then Rocket Launchers can really do a lot of damage. In fact, they can even turn the tide of battles. Of course, having a powerful weapon doesn't always guarantee victory specially if you don't know how to use it.

Anyway, for your thoughts, views, opinions and comments, please don't hesitate to share them below.

MMO FPS Planetside 2 Blasts Its Way Through Fans

After playing an hour full of intense shooting, camping, and flying slow futuristic aircrafts (can’t they make fast aircrafts in the distant future?), this is my impression of the newest MMOFPS Planetside 2. For starters, Planetside 2 is like the original Planetside combined Halo sans the ringworld and the grumpy gun-toting aliens. It also incorporates Black Ops 2’s fast-paced action and Battlefield 3 with its maps and character classes, all topped with the intensity and immensity of Nuclear Dawn. Simply put, the game is as exciting as it looks: Master Chief wannabes fighting at large, verdant terrains while planes and tanks storm them for a quick and easy kill.

(Planetside 2)

Despite my reference to other games because as no FPS is original anymore since Counter Strike’s release, Planetside is probably one reason why you should go back to FPS. Created by Sony Entertainment Online, we think this is one of Sony’s attempts to buy back in the bloated genre of first-person shooters, except that it looks promising. Gameplay-wise, it will make you fight against literally scores of players on ridiculously huge maps, and mostly your games are just skirmishes of a bigger war to take over the fictional planet of Auraxis.

Like Planetside 2, online casinos provide both escapist entertainment and therapeutic catharsis at the stroke of a button. Whenever we feel angry or hungry for something (definitely not food), we just boot our computers, load our favorite games, and get consumed by the digital world. However, unlike online casino, the only things we get out of playing video games after several hours are massive headaches, insomnia, and the cringe after seeing our electric bills. Online poker, on the other hand, gives you the chance to have fun and at the same time, hit jackpots, sweep tables, and get the lucky 777. Thanks to online casino sites like partycasino.com, playing casino has never been convenient. Aside from the usual casino games such as video poker, slots, baccarat, and roulettes, there are also fun-filled arcade games with rewarding prizes such as the famous Bejeweled. Also, for the geeky players out there, partycasino.com has their Marvel-themed slots. It’s like a casino, but in the comfort of your homes.

Going back to Planetside 2, it uses Sony’s Forgelight engine, which is also used in EverQuest Next. Finally, Sony has kept up with the conventions of most first-person games when it comes to graphics, such as real-time radiosity, realistic physics, motion blurring, eye adaptation, and high-dynamic ranging. Aside from the improved physics of the game, the environment also took a serious leap from bland to fresh and exciting. After playing, you probably wouldn’t step on the vegetation due to its realistic rendering. However, the best part of Planetside 2 is that there is a class that has a JETPACK, which you can use to fly short distances. Although we have criticisms of the game too, it will be best to leave it to you and see if Planetside 2 will be one of the best online FPS games for years to come.
