Agni's ability, Rain Fire, was also updated:

[Press Release] S2 GAMES ANNOUNCES NEW MOBA STRIFE ENTERS CLOSED BETA

Here is the latest Press Release from Asiasoft Philippines. It's about a new MOBA called Strife. Read more about it below.

Players Can Sign Up Now for a Chance to Participate in the First Next-Generation MOBA of 2014

Kalamazoo, MI – December 18, 2013 – S2 Games, developers of the free-to-play Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) Heroes of Newerth, today announced its brand-new title Strife has officially moved into the first wave of closed beta. The beta is not exclusive to any specific country and a limited number of players throughout the world are now getting early access to the next-generation MOBA.

“Each part of our development process has been marked by intense planning, calculated execution and iterative design informed by feedback,” said Marc DeForest, CEO of S2 Games. “A natural part of this process is to solicit feedback from a slowly but steadily increasing portion of our fan base to ensure that the game we are creating resonates with our community.”

Determined to create a more connected multiplayer experience, Strife is focused on giving players an environment where they’re competing with enemies, not their own teammates. With a background of over six years in producing MOBAs, S2 has built a collaborative gameplay design that eliminates problems that have plagued the genre in the past. By using this development process, issues including battles over shared resources, arguments around designated roles and general in-team toxicity have all been addressed.

Strife’s closed beta is currently available to select Closed Beta testers across the globe. Strife will be available for the general public in 2014, promising a realm of conflict, competition and glory. For more information on Strife and how to obtain a closed beta code, please visit www.strife.com, or follow along on Twitter (@S2Strife), Facebook (www.facebook.com/StrifeTheGame) and YouTube (Youtube.com/S2Strife).

SMITE - New Kali Is Here

I don't particularly like MOBA's or Multiplayer Online Battle Arena games but I do like SMITE. Unlike DoTA2, LoL, HON, Chaos Online and others, SMITE is not a point-and-click MOBA. It's in third-person and that's why I like it.

By the way, I don't like third-person view but I find the controls better than pointing-and-clicking with the mouse. I tried getting into DoTA, DoTA2 and even Chaos Online a few times but the controls just turns me off the game.

Anyway, SMITE just released a New Kali and you can see the changes by watching the YouTube video below.

Unfortunately, I can't say anything much about Kali because I never played her. For those who does, what can you say about the new Kali? Is it better than the previous Kali, is it worst or is it just the same?

My favorite God in SMITE is Thor and it's the God that I often play. I wonder if they'll change him too. I don't want the developers to change Thor but if it'll make him better then I'm for it.

Anyway, you can learn more about the new Kali in the official website of SMITE. Go ahead and check it out here » http://www.hirezstudios.com/smitegame/home/sidebar/latest-news/view/smite-blog/2013/12/11/a-new-kali-is-here!-plus-holiday-skins!

[Press Release] Asiasoft Sets to Introduce Strife in Six Southeast Asian Countries

Asiasoft has a new MOBA for everyone to play and it's Free-To-Play. For more information about this new Free-To-Play MOBA, kindly read the latest Press Release from Asiasoft below.

Singapore, 1 October 2013 - Asiasoft Corporation Public Limited Company ("Asiasoft") announces today that it will be S2 Games' Southeast Asia Operations Partner for Strife, the premier second generation free-to-play MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena), covering Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines.

Strife is developed by S2 Games, a pioneer in MOBA genre of video game industry with over six years of experience. Their first MOBA, Heroes of Newerth, has 15 million installs and over 2.5 million current registered players. Strife made its first public debut at PAX Prime 2013 held in Seattle in August and it has been positively received by media and gamers.

Some of Strife’s unique features:

  • Compete with Enemies, not Teammates – Collaborative gameplay design eliminates battles over resources.designated roles, and player experience issues.
  • Fostering Community – Innovative social systems have been created based on a philosophical design goal of creating a truly collaborative, self-regulating community.
  • Evolving the Genre – Customizable progression lets players advance in the areas they choose. Select crafted items that suit in-game skills, while pets provide additional customization to complement the heroes’ abilities. Progression is earned, not purchased.
  • Deep, Robust Lore – Strife has a rich backstory of each hero’s personal journey.
  • Enjoy your Role – No player should feel relegated to sacrificial roles. With visual clarity in team fights and out of combat regeneration, the game is designed so everyone can be active and fight longer.

"S2 Games has developed Strife to be a highly accessible and collaborative multiplayer game without sacrificing the competitive aspect found in MOBA genre," says Sherman Tan, Chairman of Asiasoft. "On behalf of Asiasoft, we are delighted to be S2 Games' Operations Partner in Southeast Asian countries and we are looking forward to bring Strife to our audience."

"Our philosophy at S2 Games for Strife is to create a MOBA utilizing clean sheet design that will appeal to a mainstream audience. We have high expectations for this title, and we needed an experienced, proven leader in Southeast Asia to achieve those goals," says Marc DeForest, Chief Executive Officer of S2 Games. "We are confident that partnering with Asiasoft will propel Strife to a massive audience."

Throughout October 2013, S2 Games will conduct a Southeast Asia Road Tour in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand to introduce Strife to media, cyber cafe management companies and gaming communities in the region. Hosted by Asiasoft and its country subsidiaries, the Road Tour will mark the first time Strife playable demo to be available outside of the United States.

Strife Southeast Asia Road Tour starts in Singapore at Campus Game Fest (www.campusgamefest.org, 4-6 October 2013) and culminates in Bangkok, Thailand at Asiasoft's PlayPark FanFest Event (fanfest.playpark.com, 26-27 October 2013).

Strife is scheduled to enter Beta in Q4 2013 with a full release in early 2014. For more information about the game, please go to www.strife.com or www.facebook.com/pages/Strife-Philippine-Community for news on Strife community activities in the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

ArcheBlade Open Beta, It's Free-To-Play

If you enjoyed playing SMITE then you might also enjoy playing ArcheBlade. ArcheBlade is a Free-To-Play third-person fighting multiplayer online game. It's action-packed and it's extremely easy to play. Mouse button smashers will definitely get a kick out of this one.

ArcheBlade is currently in Open Beta and, that means, everyone can play it. All you have to do is download and install the game in STEAM or from the game's official website. Installing from STEAM is much easier and the game isn't very large. The entire game will only use less than 1 GB of your hard drive.

Action Oriented Gameplay

ArcheBlade is not a point-and-click game. It's an action-oriented game which uses both keyboard and mouse to move and execute attacks. If you are used to point-and-click games then ArcheBlade is different because it works more like a first-person-shooting game but only in third-person.

There is no auto-targeting in ArcheBlade and, that means, you'll have to target and attack your opponents manually by gauging their distance and your range correctly. Of course, they can also easily dodge or evade and even block your attacks and the same goes for you.

The action in ArcheBlade is very intense and the combo system kinda makes the fights more interesting.

Battle Modes

ArcheBlade has a few game modes or battle modes. For example, you can fight in a 3 versus 3 battle or you can choose 1 versus All or you can fight in a Capture and Hold type of game in a 7 versus 7 game.

Whatever the game or battle mode is, ArcheBlade will deliver a solid and intense action gaming experience to both newbies and experienced players.

ArcheBlade Is Free-To-Play

Playing ArcheBlade won't cost you anything (except maybe your time). It's Free-To-Play and you can easily download and install it from STEAM. Remember, you will need STEAM to download, install and play ArcheBlade. So, if you don't have STEAM installed then you must install it first before ArcheBlade.

ArcheBlade is a very exciting game to play. It's free and it's packed with intense action just waiting for you to set it free. So, if you like action in your games then you should try out ArcheBlade.

Get Your Free DOTA 2 Close Beta Keys For FREE

DOTA 2 is the sequel to the very popular game that revolutionized the multiplayer online battle arena or MOBA games genre. Defense Of The Ancients 2 or simply DOTA 2 is currently in Close Beta but thousands of players are already playing it. In fact, tournaments are already on there way even before the game is officially launched.

DOTA 2 Sign-Up
(DOTA 2 Sign-Up)

If you want to play DOTA 2 now then you'll need get a Free Close Beta Key and you can get one from various gaming websites. In fact, a couple of weeks ago, Alienware Arena gave away thousands of Free Close Beta Keys. Unfortunately, all of them were already taken as of this writing but don't lose hope because more Free Close Beta Keys will be given away to public soon.

In the meantime, why not checkout the following links:
You can also try searching Google for other sources of Free DOTA 2 Close Beta Keys but be very careful because some of them are scams. For example, someone answered and posted a link in Yahoo Answer but the link is an adf.ly link that redirected to adf.ly's main site. There is also a site where you'll be asked to download a file but to do so you must first complete a survey or an offer.

I've also seen some results that point to a DOTA 2 Key Generator. Be very careful of this because this doesn't work and, if you scan it with an anti-virus, it'll trigger a virus warning.

The safest way, but it may not be the quickest, to get a Free Close Beta Key for DOTA is to visit the official DOTA 2 blog and click on the green SIGN-UP button. This will take you to a page where you'll be asked to complete a survey but you'll need a STEAM account to answer it. If you have STEAM installed and you are logged-in to your account then click here.

DOTA 2 may look and feel like the original DOTA but it's a very different game. You'll find a list of differences here.

Universal Monsters Online, Browser Based MOBA, Open Beta

Forget about League Of Legends or even DOTA 2 because Universal Monsters Online is here and it's currently in Open Beta. Universal Monsters Online is a new browser-based multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) published by Bigpoint and it's Free-To-Play.
Frankenstein's Monsters, UMO
(Frankenstein's Monsters, UMO)

In Universal Monsters Online you'll take control and play as your favorite monsters from Universal Studios. These monsters include Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, Wolf Man, The Mummy, Invisible Man, Phantom of the Opera, Bride of Frankenstein and others.

Universal Monsters Online plays very much like your favorite MOBA but with some differences. For example, your base or your HQ doesn't produce creeps or, in this game's case, zombies. They appear after killing an opponent player's monster. These zombies will help you destroy your opponent's buildings, turrets, enemy monsters and others.

The game is played by two teams of monsters competing in matches where the objective is to destroy the other team's base or HQ and take the Damsel. Honestly, the Damsel feels more like a Sacrifice and two teams of monsters are competing for her blood. A sacrifice makes more sense than a damsel in distress. Besides, why would a group of monsters save a Damsel?
Taking the Damsel To Your HQ
(Taking the Damsel To Your HQ)

Leveling-up your monster in the match is very important because it'll become stronger. To level-up your monster, all you have to do is destroy your opponent's buildings, kill your opponents civilians and, of course, kill your opponent's monsters. Killing those trolls that wander around the map will also help level-up your monster.

Victory in Universal Monsters Online relies on how fast you can make your monster stronger than your opponent's monster. If the level gap between your monster and your opponent's monster becomes too large then there's nothing more you can do except accept your defeat.

Two Teams Of Monsters Fight To Win
(Two Teams Of Monsters Fight To Take The Damsel)

The graphics of Universal Monsters Online is very nice specially in high settings. Fortunately, the game still looks good even at lower settings. Also, playing in lower graphics setting will give you more framerate specially during encounters with your opponent's monster.

Overall, the game is fun to play and it's easy enough for new players to enjoy. Check it out and, who knows, you might enjoy it too.

By the way, like most MOBA games, Universal Monsters Online also has players leaving or quitting during a match. It sucks because it gives the other team a huge advantage. If you are going to play then play till the end.

To learn more about Universal Monsters Online and to play it for FREE, click here!
