Grinding For Ki

Ki is very important in Khan Online. It's actually more important than experience points or Exp because Ki is used to increase character stats.

Since Khan Online doesn't really have any quest except for the one in Wroclaw, grinding for Ki and Exp is just one of the few things I can do as a player in the game.

Also, it's called grinding because it's literally is a grind. Khan Online is a very grind heavy MMORPG. If you are not into grinding and if you find grinding boring and not fun then you will not enjoy playing Khan Online.

Recently, I spent an hour killing Bug Bears, Carons, Broos and other monsters in Wroclaw but I still wasn't able to raise my character's level from 48 to 49.

Age Of Kung Fu's latest patch is named World Of Contenders and it has a ton of new stuff in it specially for those who loves PvP or duels.

I'm talking about the Dragon and Tiger Tournament which is a one-on-one duel that happens on large combat arenas. There is also the School Rivalry system where you get to join in a weekly battle between schools.

Wakfu Asia PvP Update

The biggest update ever to happen in Wakfu Asia and it's focused on PvP between Nations.

This PvP update will center around the war between those playing as Guards and those playing as Rebels. Nations will now be able to fight each other in PvP battles that are going to be intense, exciting and full of action.

You as a player can choose to defend your Nation as a Guard or you can choose to fight against it by joining the Riktus Clan. The Riktus Clan is hell bent on world domination and it will do anything and everything to achieve it.

Wizardry Online, Open Beta Is Here

Wizardry Online is the MMO version of the classic Wizardry dungeon crawler RPG series. It died a decade ago in the US but it is still very popular in Japan where it continued to get new releases. They even have an online multiplayer version of the game called Wizardry Online.

Fortunately, Sony Online Entertainment took Wizardry Online from Japan and opened up an English server. Currently, Wizardry Online is in Open Beta and, to play the game, simply create a new Station ID, download the game's launcher and install it. After installing the launcher, run it and it will download and install the rest of the game.

In Wizardry Online, you will get to create your character from five races. These races are Human, Elf, Porkul, Dwarf and Gnome. You will also get to choose from four character classes and these are Fighter, Priest, Mage and Thief. From there, you will get to choose or customize your character further like choosing your character's hair, face, etc.

Bonus points for your character's attributes are randomly assigned.

Characters in Wizardry Online have that anime-look and feel because this game is basically just a port of a Japanese game. If you are not into anime-looking characters then you might not enjoy playing Wizardry Online.

One of Wizardry Online's controversial feature is Permadeath. Yes, your character can die permanently in this game. It sounds hardcore, right? Well, not entirely because your soul lives on and, because all your characters share the same soul, you can continue your adventure as a new character.

Unlike other dungeon based multiplayer online RPGs, the dungeons in Wizardry Online are not instanced. That means, you'll have to share all the dungeons with other players.

Another feature that is considered hardcore by other gamers is the fact that PvP or player-versus-player is active everywhere. That means, any player can kill any player any time and any where. Of course, there are consequences in killing and stealing from other players but are those consequences bad enough to deter players from killing each other?

Anyway, if you are a fan of the old Wizardry RPG series then why not give Wizardry Online a try. It's Free-To-Play and it will only take you a few minutes to a couple of hours to install the game.

Ragnarok Online 2 SEA Open Beta Launches On January 3, 2013

The first English server of Ragnarok Online 2 was supposed to launch its Open Beta period last December 27, 2012 but that launch never happened. Well, it kinda did for a brief moment but it was eventually shutdown because the server was not able to handle the volume of players who tried to login and play the game.

Obviously, the publisher was not prepared to handle that many users at once which is very common with most MMORPG launches. Hopefully, the Open Beta launch tomorrow will not have the same problems as before. If not then it will disappoint a lot of players worldwide (or NOT).

Ragnarok Online 2 is the sequel to Ragnarok Online but, unlike the original, Ragnarok Online 2 or RO2 is now in 3D. The sad thing about this Open Beta Launch is the fact that players from outside Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam will have no access to the game. It sucks but it has something to do with licensing which means the SEA server of RO2 is only for SEA players.

According to some post in the official RO2 Sea forum, North America and the Philippines will have their own English server of RO2 in the first quarter of 2013.

Anyway, with only four countries having access to the game, the amount of traffic the game server will get will not be the same as before. Of course, everyone from all over can still try to login to their accounts. If they can login then good for them. If not then they'll just have to wait for their own server of RO2 to serve their country or region.

C9 Offers Class Reset For Free

Starting from December 12, 2012 until December 19, 2012, inactive players who will come back and play C9 again will receive a free Class Reset Item. What does a Class Reset Item do? Obviously, it will let players choose another class for their characters in C9 and all they have to do to get one is play the game again. Of course, they will have to return and play the game again before December 19, 2012.

Why would players want to reset their character class? In the e-mail notice sent by Webzen, there are two reasons why players will want to do it. The first reason that Webzen gave was maybe they "didn't choose the right class" when they first created their characters. Not choosing the right class is definitely a problem and could explain why they stopped playing the game.

The second reason Webzen gave was the character class they chose for their characters "was too hard" for them to play. Obviously, players don't want to play a game that's hard to play because it will only frustrate them. If that cause of that was their choice of character class then giving them the opportunity to change it can possibly get them back to play again.

Players who will avail of this offer must use the Class Reset Item immediately because this particular item will expire in only a week. If they have two or more characters in their account then the character that has the highest level will get it. Unfortunately, they won't get to choose which character will get it.

By the way, the Class Reset Item will only let you change your advanced class. For example, a Guardian can change from a Blademaster and vice-versa. Base classes are not changeable.

C9 or Continent of the Ninth Seal is an action-packed multiplayer online RPG. It's fun to play and players will enjoy hours and hours of dungeon raiding by themselves or with friends. Inactive players who are looking to play the game again should definitely take advantage of this offer from Webzen.

Bleach MMORPG? Yes, It Exist And You Can Play It For FREE!

Today, I chanced upon an MMORPG based on one of my favorite anime, Bleach. I was actually searching for new episodes of Bleach in Google when one of the search results mentioned something about a Bleach MMORPG. I visited the link and it brought me to a YouTube video that showed Ishida shooting some monsters.

Ishida is one of the main characters in Bleach. He is part of Ichigo's group and he is a Quincy. He is also Ichigo's classmate and his weapon is somekind of spirit bow that shoots spirit arrows. He wears a white outfit in the anime and he wears the same outfit in the YouTube video that showed him shooting some monters.

The YouTube video has a link in the description that points to the site where you can sign-up, download and install the game. The game client is less than 1 GB and it would probably take you an hour to download it. To play the game after installing it, simply run the game launcher by double clicking its icon and login with your username and password.

To get started, you must first create your Character. You can choose from Ichigo, Rukia and Ishida. For my game, I went with Ichigo and named him Kabalyero. I didn't change anything from the default look of the character. I kept him looking like Ichigo in the Anime with black robes, orange-colored hair and that big sword of his.

In game, you move your character by clicking on the ground and you attack a monster by clicking on it. Pressing W will open up the Map of the area and pressing C will open up your Character window. Pressing Z will open up the System window and pressing X will hide the graphics interface.

I didn't do much of anything in the game. I just took my character outside and killed a few foxes. I also only saved a few minutes of video and took screenshots of my character with some of the NPCs in the game like Byakuya, Urahara, Yoruichi, Kenpachi and others. All of them are characters from the anime.

Anyway, if you would like to explore the world of Soul Society in Bleach MMORPG then download the game, install it and play. Just don't expect anything exciting from it though. From what I can tell, the game is simply a mod or modification of another MMORPG. Nevertheless, Bleach fans might just enjoy a few minutes of killing monsters as Ichigo, Rukia or Ishida in Bleach MMORPG.

How To Register An Account In Dragon Nest SEA?

Some, if not many, players are having issues in signing-up or registering a new account in Dragon Nest SEA. I have no idea why these players are having such a hard time signing-up. The only reason I could think of, as to why players can't sign-up or register is, if they are in the countries blocked by Dragon Nest SEA from accessing the game like Korea, Japan, United States of America, Canada, Taiwan, China, Australia and Thailand.

From what I've read in the announcement, the reason for the IP block is because these countries have their own localized version of Dragon Nest. US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are under Dragon Nest NA which is published by Nexon. If you can't play in Dragon Nest SEA then try playing in Dragon Nest NA. As for EU or European players, I think they can still play in Dragon Nest SEA but that might change once Dragon Nest EU starts operating.

Okay, for those players who are not blocked by Dragon Nest SEA but who are having problems signing-up, here is a simple guide on how to sign-up or register a new Dragon Nest SEA account for FREE.

1. Visit the official website of Dragon Nest SEA
2. Click on the Sign-Up link located at the top-right corner of the website
3. Fill-up the form with your e-mail address, game ID, password and text from the anti-spam image
4. Agree to the TOS and Privacy Policy of the game by clicking on the check box and finally click on the Sign-Up button to process your application

After that, an activation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you used to sign-up for Dragon Nest SEA. You must check your e-mail for the activation e-mail and you must click on the provided activation link to activate your Dragon Nest SEA account. It will open a new page where you must enter the displayed image code in the text box to finalize the activation.

By the way, you can't sign-up accounts one after the other. The sign-up process has a limit on how many accounts can be registered per IP address. If you are planning on creating more than one Dragon Nest SEA account then wait for a few moments before trying to sign-up again. I guess they are trying to limit the amount of account created by spammers in-game.

Anyway, I was able to sign-up a few accounts today because I needed to get information and screenshots for this blog post. If you are having problems signing-up then you could probably use one of them. Just make sure to change the password and pin immediately so that only you can use the account. Please place a comment if you did use one of the listed Dragon Nest SEA accounts so that I could cross them out.

Fail Whale with Runes of Magic Download?

Today, I went to check out what's new with e-Games Philippines and in their website I noticed a banner for [Runes of Magic] saying Open Beta 01.08.10 (January 08, 2010). I then went to visit the website of Runes of Magic Philippines to possibly download a copy of its game client installer. The installer is more than 4GB and there are links to where it can be downloaded. Most of the download links listed are for parts of the whole installer and only one is linked to a full download.

The full download of the client is linked to a download page in MMOSITE.com. There were two buttons. One is for Runes of Magic (SG) Closed Beta Client and another one for Runes of Magic Final Full Client(PH). I clicked on the Full Client (PH) but, before completely downloading it, I noticed that one of the commenter said:

"nka tapos na ko DL, pero nag tataka ako puro german mga tao. kasi nka lagay sa client pag open ko european region/language. bat ganun?? dito ko rin nakuha sa MMOSITE ang torrent. register ako nka lagay philippines din, pero sa laro di ko maintindihan mga cnasabi ng mga tao...."

What he said was, he was able to finish downloading the client but in-game the people were all German and that the client when opened says its for the European region/lagunage. Well, I can't blame him because the link says Runes of Magic Final Full Client (PH) and everyone would assume that the file downloaded off of that link is the game client installer for Runes of Magic Philippines. Good thing I was able to read the comments first because if not then I would have wasted 8 hours of download time for nothing.

Currently, I am downloading the client in parts through FileFront. I'm not sure if it's the same client as the one in MMOSITE.com and I hope that it's not because I don't want to waste a lot of time downloading 4GB of files that I won't be able to use.
