[Press Release] A JAPANESE INVASION DAWNS ON MAPLESEA

13 November 2013, Singapore and Malaysia - Asiasoft Online ("Asiasoft") announces the anticipated launch of the Sengoku era in MapleSEA. First launched as an exclusive content for Japan MapleStory, the content has finally made its way to MapleSEA in two parts and will introduce two new classes - Hayato and Kanna, the stars of Sengoku that MapleSEA fans have been waiting for!

The story of Sengoku dates back to Japan many centuries ago. It was a time of peace. However, Abeno Seimei, the Great Diviner of that peaceful period had a premonition that an evil force would appear and take over Japan. ,The prediction came true and Sengoku was seized into hegemony by a man called Oda Nobunaga who claimed to be the 6th Demon King.

Abeno Seimei also predicted that five highly skilled warriors would rise and oppose the evil force, and from then on, they were known as "Children of Five Stars." Hayato and Kanna were the first two who rose to stop Nobunaga from carrying out his evil plan of demonising Sengoku.

Hayato will be the first to make his appearance felt in MapleSEA with today's patch. He is a samurai warrior that wields a Katana as his primary weapon and a Wakizashi as a secondary weapon while his fighting style is called Battoujutsu that deals specifically with the rapid drawing and sheathing of a sword.

Kanna will debut in part two of the update on 4 December 2013. She is a magician who uses a fan as her weapon of choice and has a white fox called Haku as her trusty companion on her battles. She uses a combination of fan attacks and ghost with Haku assisting her during battles, as the fox has the ability to transform into human form during combat.

Players can now explore Hayato and Kanna's hometown with the addition of new towns within Mushroom Shrine and join forces with them to thwart Nobunaga's nefarious plans and restore peace to the whole of Japan. For more information on the content update, please visit http://www.MapleSEA.com for the interactive factsheet and patch notes.

To celebrate the launch of Sengoku, there will be a plethora of events that will reward players for their participation and perhaps earn some limited in-game items as well. Join the Sengoku Hunt and have a blast with the bi-weekly mini games and be rewarded with in-game items. There are also upcoming events where players may stand to win a trip to Japan, as well as cash prizes for their efforts too.

Neverwinter's Shadowmantle Will Introduce The Hunter Ranger

Neverwinter by Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment is one of the best action-mmorpg today. The maps are huge, the action is non-stop and intense and best of all it's FREE-TO-PLAY. What else can you ask for an action-MMORPG?

I've never played the pen-and-paper Dungeons & Dragons game but who cares? I know I don't. As far as I know, knowing nothing about the pen-and-paper D&D never stopped me from enjoying this amazing game. Yes, it doesn't have the best graphics nor the best PvP but it brought adventuring back to world of MMORPGs.

Soon, players of Neverwinter will enjoy the game's second free module. It's called Shadowmantle and it will introduce a new class, the Hunter Ranger. It's a bow wielding character with dual-wielding abilities (based on what I saw on the Hunter Ranger reveal trailer).

I'm not really into bow wielding characters but I'm sure many of you are.

The things that I find more interesting in this new free module, Shadowmantle, are the following:
  • expansion to the Paragon Path system
  • the new Dead Ring Campaign
  • the new Artifact items
  • and the new Collection System
I feel that the above mentioned additions and changes will keep me playing longer and will make me busier than playing with a new character class. Of course, many of you might feel different about but that's absolutely fine because no two players or gamers are the same.

For those of you who are interested in seeing the new Hunter Ranger character class, check out the YouTube video below.

If you are not yet playing Neverwinter then start playing by creating an account and downloading the game here » http://play.any.tv/SHJR4.

Squirrel Girl Arrives In Marvel Heroes

I'm sure many of you Marvel comic book fans out there are familiar with Squirrel Girl. Unfortunately, I'm not that's why I wasn't excited when I received Marvel Heroes latest e-mail update.

Squirrel Girl is just one of the many new things that were added to Marvel Heroes Game Update 1.4. If you are playing Marvel Heroes in STEAM then this update is HUGE. How HUGE? It's 3.5 GB HUGE! That's how HUGE this update is.

Some of the highlights of Marvel Heroes Game Update 1.4 are the following:

  • Squirrel Girl joins Marvel Heroes and she brings her unique powers and abilities with her. Don't be fooled by her appearance because she has defeated various high profile super villains like Thanos, Doctor Doom and the Mandarin.
    ---
Is Squirrel Girl free? You wish. Unfortunately, her cuteness is for sale and you can have her by purchasing the Squirrel Girl Hero Pack for only $14.99 USD. This pack includes Squirrel Girl, 2 Costumes, Squirrel Girl Hero STASH and 1 Retcon Device.
    ---
Is it worth the money? Only you can answer that question.
    ---
  • Spider-Man had a major design review and, according to developers, he now plays better than ever because he sucked bad. He'll get a brand new costume, emote, dialogue and the first ever enhanced pet, Spider-Ham.
    ---
  • A new version of the Fortune Card called the Mark 3 is also available in this Game Update. Buying more Fortune Cards will get you more Ruby Quartz.
For the full patch notes of Game Update 1.4, click this link » Marvel Heroes Game Update 1.4 Patch Notes.

Marvel Heroes Game Update 1.4 fixed a lot of bugs and added tons of changes to various heroes. If you're playing Marvel Heroes then check out these changes because it might change how you play the game as well.

What We Can Expect from The Elder Scrolls Online

The Elder Scrolls series has delivered some of the most beloved role-playing games to the gaming world since the first installment, a buggy affair called The Elder Scrolls: Arena, debuted on floppy disk and CD-ROM (remember those?) back in 1994. With players thrust onto the continent of Tamriel with a first-person perspective and loads of character-customization options, it became clear that the publishers and developers Bethesda had something special on their hands.

Despite its heavily criticized first installment—it was a cult favorite, to be fair—the Elder Scrolls franchise thankfully continued on and became a monster (in the best way possible) in the gaming community. Games like the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (2006) and the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (2011) have been especially acclaimed by gamers and critics, thanks in part to their unbelievably immersive environments, character creation system, and addictive gameplay. Many critics have written that even the most casual gamers would have a difficult time not getting sucked into RPG-meets-action-adventure presentation of the Elder Scrolls, particularly the last few installments.

And for the next entry in the legendary series, Bethesda is looking to another realm: the web. That's right, the Elder Scrolls story is heading to the world of MMORPGs after nearly two decades with some help from ZeniMax, which has been working on it since 2007. While it's important to note that the fighting portions of the series might not be the most intriguing part—though people who have played previews of this new game say otherwise—that's never stopped other games of this ilk from being successful. With an MMORPG, it's primarily about the story and how you and other players can fit into it. Which route will you take when you create a character? How will you then go on to customize that character, from the way it looks to the skills you want to acquire and develop to how you interact with everyone you meet. That goes for both other human players and the NPCs, the latter of which are renown in the Elder Scrolls universe.

The narrative of the Elder Scrolls Online takes place 1,000 years prior to that of the previous installment (Skyrim). Players will be able to choose from one of three different factions within Tamriel: the Aldmeri Dominion, Ebonheart Pact, and the Daggerfall Convenant. Speaking of the continent, it will become more wide open as expansion packs are released. You'll be traversing the land primarily to take part in the war for the throne of Tamriel.

It'll be interesting to see what other options make their way into the online experience. Perhaps they'll incorporate some form of gambling in a way to flesh out the story of the gambler characters who can be found in Cragslane Cavern. It wouldn't be surprising if some form of cards, betting, or the like made its way into the game, what with the rising popularity of actual online gambling. At Arcade.Betfair.com, for example, more and more players have gotten wrapped up in challenges related to video games and comics, including the Thor and X-Men series. We're just saying, some kind of medieval/renaissance-era casino or gambling den could go a long way for the Elder Scrolls universe, especially online.

The Elder Scrolls Online is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2014. It'll be available on Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One. There will be a $15 monthly subscription fee across all platforms.

Strife made its first public debut at PAX Prime 2013 held in Seattle in August and it has been positively received by media and gamers.

Some of Strife’s unique features:

  • Evolving the Genre – Customizable progression lets players advance in the areas they choose. Select crafted items that suit in-game skills, while pets provide additional customization to complement the heroes’ abilities. Progression is earned, not purchased.

  • Enjoy your Role – No player should feel relegated to sacrificial roles. With visual clarity in team fights and out of combat regeneration, the game is designed so everyone can be active and fight longer.

"S2 Games has developed Strife to be a highly accessible and collaborative multiplayer game without sacrificing the competitive aspect found in MOBA genre," says Sherman Tan, Chairman of Asiasoft. "On behalf of Asiasoft, we are delighted to be S2 Games' Operations Partner in Southeast Asian countries and we are looking forward to bring Strife to our audience."

"Our philosophy at S2 Games for Strife is to create a MOBA utilizing clean sheet design that will appeal to a mainstream audience. We have high expectations for this title, and we needed an experienced, proven leader in Southeast Asia to achieve those goals," says Marc DeForest, Chief Executive Officer of S2 Games. "We are confident that partnering with Asiasoft will propel Strife to a massive audience."

Throughout October 2013, S2 Games will conduct a Southeast Asia Road Tour in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand to introduce Strife to media, cyber cafe management companies and gaming communities in the region. [Press Release] Rockstar Games - Announces Grand Theft Auto V Now Available

I just got the latest Press Release from Rockstar Games about Grand Theft Auto V. I know that it's not a Free-To-Play MMO but I think a lot of people will want to know about it.

Grand Theft Auto V Now Available

New York, NY – September 17, 2013 - Rockstar Games is very proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto V is now available worldwide for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and also available for digital download from the PlayStation®Network.

“Grand Theft Auto V was a massive undertaking for us, I'm so proud of what the team created,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “We cannot wait for people to finally play it.”

Developed by series creator, Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V pushes the series forward in exciting new ways. For the first time, players can jump in and out of the lives of three simultaneously playable lead characters, experiencing all sides of an interwoven story. Set in a satirical reimagining of modern day Southern California, Grand Theft Auto V offers players the freedom to explore the dense urban metropolis of Los Santos and the wide open countryside of Blaine County; plan and execute a series of epic heists; meet a vast array of strangers and freaks; or participate in a host of activities, from golf to arms trafficking, base jumping to yoga and much more.

Following are samples of early reviews:

“The most immersive spectacle in interactive entertainment.” – The New York Times

“No other world in video games comes close to this in size or scope, and there is sharp intelligence behind its sense of humor and gift for mayhem. It tells a compelling, unpredictable, and provocative story without ever letting it get in the way of your own self-directed adventures through San Andreas. It is one of the very best video games ever made." – IGN, 10/10

“It's a remarkable achievement, a peerless marriage of world design, storytelling and mechanics that pushes these ageing consoles to the limit and makes it all look easy. As we stand on the brink of a new generation, GTA V sends an intimidating message to the rest of the industry. Beat that." - Edge, 10/10

“You’ve never seen a game world as thoroughly realized…as irresistible to play as it is to admire.” – Time, 5/5

“GTA V is the culmination of everything we love about the series: It’s big, it’s pretty, and most importantly it’s just nonstop fun.” – Guardian UK, 100%

“One of the pinnacle achievements this generation of games has offered.” – CNET

Grand Theft Auto V also includes access to Grand Theft Auto Online, the revolutionary new open world online game launching October 1, 2013 that comes free with every copy of Grand Theft Auto V.

Luvinia World, Changing Screen Resolution

Changing Screen Resolutions In Luvinia World

Changing Luvinia World's screen resolution is easy. You can change it on the game launcher or you can change it in-game.

In the game launcher, all you have to do is click on the Settings button and the Game Setting Window will appear. Just find the Screen Resolution drop down menu and choose from the listed Screen Resolutions.

In-game, you need to hit the Esc key to bring up the System Menu and choose System Setting. In the System Setting window, you can choose your Screen Resolution by choosing from the Drop Down list.

Changing Screen Resolutions To 1280x720

As you can see, it's very easy to change the screen resolution of Luvinia World but changing to a screen resolution that you want is bit tricky.

For example, Luvinia World doesn't have an option for 1280x720 screen resolution but you can still set your screen resolution to it. How? By editing the params.ini file.

To change your Luvinia World's screen resolution to 1280x720 or any other screen resolution not found in the game's system settings, simply follow the instructions below.
  1. go to your Luvinia World's installation folder
  2. find and open the setup folder
  3. find and open the file params.ini
  4. change fullscreen to 0, change width to 1280 and change height to 720
  5. save the file and launch the game
The next time you launch or play Luvinia World, the game will load inside a 1280x720 window.  If you want it in fullscreen then simply change "fullscreen" in the params.ini file to 1.

Here is a YouTube video that shows how to change the screen resolution of Luvinia World to something that's not listed in the System Settings.

Now you know how to change Luvinia World's screen resolution to something that's not in the System Settings. It's important to know because not everyone has the same screen resolutions available for their monitors.

Luvinia World In-Game Event, Race To 80

Level Up To 80

Leveling up is a very common term in MMORPG. It's how character growth or development is accomplished because, when a character levels up, its stats, skill sets, power set, abilites, etc. also goes up making it a much better character than before.

Leveling up is also synonymous to grinding because, in many MMORPGs, grinding for long hours is the only way to increase character levels. It sucks, I know, but many players don't mind and just do it.

Speaking of leveling up, Luvinia World has an ongoing in-game event and it's all about leveling up. The event is called Race To 80. The first character that reaches Level 80 and completed the Level 80 Job Change will receive $50 worth of SOA Coins.

More Prizes To Win

I have no idea how much SOA Coins $50 will get but I do know that characters that will accomplish the same task before October 1 will get 7,000 SOA Coins. They'll also get a 30 Day Teleportation Book and an 18 Slot Backpack.

I'm not sure if the prizes are enough to spark the interest of many new players but, for those who are already playing the game, why not go for it. If they don't reach Level 80 then at least they had fun leveling up their characters.

Luvinia World Open Beta

Luvinia World is currently in Open Beta and the purpose of this event is to spark interest and get new players to play the game. Well, $50 worth of SOA Coins can buy a ton of goodies from the Item Shop and, since, not many players are playing. The competition for it is very, very light.

Are you thinking of playing Luvinia World? If you are then start playing the game now and compete with other players for the prize.

To create a Free Luvinia World Account, go to http://www.luviniaworld.com/register.php.
To download the Luvinia World Installer, go to  http://46.253.158.40/update/Luvinia%20World%20Setup.exe.

Luvinia World Open Beta Launch

Luvinia Online Is Back

Luvinia Online is back and it's called Luvinia World. It's a free-to-play fantasy themed MMORPG developed by Shandagames and it was previously published by Outspark. SOA Games picked up the game after Outspark closed its doors.

Luvinia World is the second coming of Luvinia Online with new and amazing upcoming features. The game will also get regular updates and the first one will come right after the initial launch. Regular updates will definitely keep players interested.

Luvinia Online Account Retrieval

SOA Games will give old Luvinia Online players the chance to retrieve their old Luvinia Online accounts. This will let them play or use their old characters and continue the game where they left off. They won't have to start from the beginning like everyone else.

The link for account or character retrieval will be made available only on the Open Beta launch date which is on August 20, 2013. For questions and inquiries, go to the official forum and post them on the thread titled "Character integration and retrieval has been confirmed".

Play Luvinia World Today

Again, Luvinia World's Open Beta Launch is on August 20, 2013 (which is today). Players who didn't get a chance to play Luvinia Online before because Outspark died then this is the perfect time for them to get into Luvinia World.
